Phillip Anthony Gravina, 70, Independence, MO, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, February 9, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Family and Friends will gather on Friday, February 10, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Phil was born October 9, 1941 in Kansas City, MO to Dominic and Geraldine (Stasi) Gravina, and was a 1958 graduate of DeLaSalle Academy. He was an electrician before retiring from Jackson County in 1996, and was a member of the IBEW. He was an avid sports fan.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brothers, Richard Gravina, James Gravina and wife Jennifer; niece, Grace Howell and husband Steve; nephews, Stephan Gravina, J.D. Gravina and wife Meredith; and great-nephews, Nathan and Caleb Howell.
