Phyllis Elizabeth Trombino, 80, Kansas City, MO, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday, February 17, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, February 18, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E. Missouri Ave., Kansas City, MO 64106. Burial will follow in Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery.
Phyllis was born February 6, 1933 in Kansas City, MO. She earned a lifesaving swimming badge and was invited to the Olympic tryouts. She was owner and operator of Phyllis' Attic Shop in the Columbus Park area for many years. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Trombino; her daughter, Lori Trombino Giambrone; and her parents, Anthony and Elizabeth (Polito) Santora.
Survivors include her son, Anthony Trombino; her grandchildren, Phyllis Giambrone, Anthony Giambrone; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Tommy, and Christopher Reffett; sisters, Toni Santora-Roccaforte, Kathy Santora-Thomas; and cousins, James "Junior" Bradley, Florence Scarbello, John and Teresa Polito, Joe and Sherry Polito.
Pallbearers: Ryan Reffett, John Reffett, Tommy Reffett, John Risalvato, John Polito, Christopher Polito.
Phyllis was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by all.
