Rachelle Ann
Fisher
Aug 24, 1949 — May 8, 2022
Rachelle Ann Fisher, 72, loving and devoted grandmother, mother, wife, and friend, passed away with peace and grace at home in Overland Park, Kansas with loved ones by her side on May 8, 2022, after a short battle with cancer.
Born to Fanny and Thomas Martines on August 24, 1949, Rachelle grew up in Kansas City, Missouri where she attended Glennon and Northeast High Schools. She found work as a hairdresser, customer service representative for HJ Cole/Cole Harford and finally retired from Assurant Employee Benefits. Rachelle was the beloved mother of Joseph Fisher (Jennifer), Amy Coleman, and Shelley Franz (Alex), and the proud grandmother of Hudson, Brody, Colton, Dawson, Violet, Jack, Alan, Matthew, and Whit. She is also survived by her loving husband, Narron Gibson, and former husband and friend, Steve Fisher. She was predeceased by her mother, father, and baby son, Andrew Fisher.
Rachelle lived a full life in her roles as mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. She was a lover of the blues and live music, shopping, and Italian cooking. Most of all, she loved being with family. She shined as a grandmother with her childlike and fun spirit. She never missed an opportunity to smile, laugh, dance, dress up for Halloween, and have fun. Her children and grandchildren thought she hung the moon. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
A celebration of Rachelle's life will be held at Cure of Ars, 9401 Mission Road, Leawood, Kansas, on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Visitation beginning at 9 a.m., followed by Mass at 11 a.m.
