Ralph Joseph
Mcmurray
Feb 15, 1940 — Nov 14, 2020
Ralph Joseph McMurray, 80, passed away November 14, 2020.
Ralph was born February 15,1940, one of ten children of the late James and Helen (Boehm) McMurray, and was a native Kansas Citian who spent 35+ years in Gladstone, MO. He was U.S. Army veteran and spent the last several years of his life as a resident of the Missouri State Veterans Home in Cameron, MO. Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was known for always lending a helping hand and making sure others had what they needed - usually before his own needs were met. He loved to travel and had done much traveling throughout his life, mainly by open highway in a vehicle. Ralph was a bit of a foodie and enjoyed sampling different small, locally owned diners and restaurants. One of his many passions was working on automobiles, especially the classics. You could always find him in a garage tinkering with something. Ralph was a huge music lover, especially Elvis Presley. He had been a longtime fan and collector of Elvis memorabilia and music and engrained his love for Elvis into each of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Ralph McMurray and his genuine smile, hearty belly laugh, and mischievous ways, will be greatly missed by many.
Ralph leaves behind five living sisters, four daughters, 18 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Due to the COVID pandemic, memorial services were postponed. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Passantino Bros.
