Raymond Palmerin 75, longtime resident of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Monday December 28 ^th , 2020 at Myer Nursing Home in Kansas City.

Raymond "Pepe" was born September 10 ^th , 1945 to Christopher T. Palmerin and Anita Garcia-Esteban in Kansas City, KS.  He grew up in Northeast Kansas City, the "North End", when his mother remarried to Pedro Esteban.  He attended Karnes Elementary and Northeast High School and grew up playing sports at Don Bosco, where he met the mother of children Linda Fiorello-Venable. Raymond was a veteran who served in the United States Navy.  He suffered a debilitating car accident in 1987 forcing him to live the remainder of his life in a nursing home.

Raymond always had a story to tell and he never met a stranger. He was known for his genuine smile, infectious laugh, mischievous ways, and he will be greatly missed by many. He had a phrase he always used when he didn't get his way "Life is a bowl of cherries and I don't like cherries".

Raymond was preceded in death by his father Christopher T. Palmerin; mother Anita Esteban; brothers Alphonso "Pancho" Palmerin, Don Palmerin, Pasqual "Kelly" Palmerin, Pedro Esteban Jr., Adolph "Tiny" Esteban; and sisters Emily Torres and Rita Palmerin.

Raymond is survived by his children all of Kansas City, Gina Jenkins (David), Ross Palmerin (Haylee), Raymond Palmerin, Patricia Hertzog (Brian); grandchildren Brad, Brandon Jenkins, Anthony, Rossie Palmerin Jr., Mia, Aaron Rustici, Sophia Palmerin, Ashli, Nick Hertzog; great-grandchild Elijah Knox Jenkins; stepfather Pedro Esteban; brothers Manuel Esteban (Kathy), Richard Esteban, Henry "Pinky" Esteban; sisters Christina "Tina" Tinoco (Paul), Anita "Rosie" Gorenflo (Charles), Teresa Dollison, Catherine Freistedt (John), Rachel Morales; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives who loved him.

The family would also like to thank Myer Nursing Home and Good Shepard Hospice for such amazing care they provided.

Military Graveside services will be held at Leavenworth National Cemetery on Friday, January 8 ^th , 2021 at 2:30 p.m.  Masks and social distancing are required for the services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
