Rebecca M. Hansen was born to John and Rose Hansen in Kansas City, MO on August 17th, 1965. She passed away on May 26th, 2024.

Becky attended Northeast High School and worked as a certified nurse's assistant and restorative aide at Smithville Convalescent Center. Becky was the queen of awesomeness; she was as ornery as they came but loved her family and friends fiercely. Becky loved playing cards, board games, and computer games. Becky loved her son—her pride and boy—more than anything in this world. Becky was loyal, loving, and will be missed tremendously by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jimmy and Kenny; and sister, Gaye. Left to mourn her loss are her son, Johnnie Ray, and his wife, Lucrezia Hansen of Kansas City, MO; her life companion of the past 14 years, John Anderson; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A celebration of Becky's life will be held on Saturday, June 15, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 161 East 1st Street, Smithville, MO 64089. This will be a time to share stories, express our love, and remember the wonderful person Becky was. There will be a barbecue with water and soda provided.
