Ricardo Humberto Pecina a/k/a Kunga was born on March 16, 1959 in Kansas City, KS, and passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 18, 2022.

Ricardo was preceded in death by his father Enrique Z. Pecina. He leaves behind his mother Maria Nicanora Pecina of Kansas City, Mo, son Ricardo Pecina II and daughter Angelina Pecina (Jason Vaughan). Siblings Delia Padilla (Roberto), Henry Pecina Jr., Alexander Pecina (Sonja), Gloria Pecina Bohannon (Stanley), Martha Pecina, Max Pecina (Lisa), Graciela Pecina, Mario Pecina, Gregory Pecina, Jose Pecina, Elizabeth Lopez (Michael) and Fernando Pecina and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his close friend Marie Randolph.

Visitation is Monday, August 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Passantino Bros Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO. A Celebration of Life / Lunch will follow from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Parish Hall, 5106 St. John Avenue, Kansas City, MO.
