Richard Glen "Rick" Carrell, 68, Kansas City, MO, passed away July 26, 2020. Visitation will be 11 a.m. with a Memorial Service at 12 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., KCMO 64124.

Rick was born July 1, 1952, in Sacramento, CA. He was raised on the West coast until he was seven when his family moved to the Midwest and settled in Ohio. Rick attended Ohio State in the fall of 1970 before enlisting into the Air Force in 1973. After being Honorably Discharged, Rick moved to Kansas City, where he enjoyed racing dragsters and riding motorcycles. He was known for his great sense of humor and sweet personality.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, Robert Carrell; mother, Lola Gilbert; stepfather, John Gilbert; and sister, Lynne Wiggins.

Rick is survived by his children, Perrin (Michelle), Ashley (Leo), Eric, and Hope; his grandson, Ty; his best friend, Kathy Carrell; his brothers, Randy (Marida), Ron, and Brian (Wende); his sisters-in-law, Janet (Dave), Joan (Dennis); and LOTS of nieces and nephews.

Rick will be loved and missed.
