Robert "Mike" Bauer, 70, passed away on July 3, 2014, surrounded by his family.

Mike was born on August 6, 1943 in Brookfield, MO to Robert and Jane Bauer.

Mike was a devoted husband, father and friend. He was motivated in life to help others. He earned his degree in chemistry at Central Missouri State College (now UCM). During his long and dedicated career at Tnemec Company, Kansas City, MO, he developed/invented industrial coatings that still bring much success to the company. During his career, Mike met and befriended many wonderful people, who remained fishing and hunting friends long after retirement.

The family is comforted by the fact that Mike is now joined with his beloved wife of 44 years, Gayle, who passed away in November 2013.

Mike is survived by his two sons; John (Jennifer), and David (Kim); Grandchildren Quin, Colin, Anna and Jack.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10AM Saturday, July 12, 2014, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO 64119.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to The American Cancer Society.
