Robert L. "Bob" Cox, 69, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Visitation will begin with a Prayer Service at 6 p.m. and continue until 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1357 NE 42nd Terr., Kansas City, MO 64116. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, at St. Patrick Church, followed by entombment in White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Patrick Catholic Church or the Burnett Burn Center at The University of Kansas Hospital.

Bob was born December 2, 1943 in Kansas City, MO to James and Martha (Curtner) Cox. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from the Kansas City, MO Fire Department. He was an avid car enthusiast. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Betty Simmermon.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Cathy (Pace) Cox; son, Michael Cox; granddaughter, Jaiden Cox; brother, Franklin Cox; brother and sister-in-law, Frederick and Nancy Cox; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ernie Simmermon, Joe and Sue Pace, Ann Marie and Jeff Roberts; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
