Robert E. Schaefer, Jr., 57, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, February 27, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Cremation will follow. Please omit flowers.

Bob was born July 29, 1956, in Kansas City, MO, to Robert and Santa Marie (Sciortino) Schaefer. He worked at his parent's liquor store Gem's Liquors for many years, and was employed by Excel Linen Supply Co. Bob was an avid sportsman and could be found playing softball on any given day of the week. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his brother, Dan Schaefer; sister, Sharon Pollina; nephews and nieces, Danny, Sarah and Stephanie Schaefer, Frankie, Bobby and JoMarie Pollina, Rosie Pollina Gonzalez; many great-nieces and nephews; his aunt, Josephine Sciortino Sanders; his cousins; and many, many friends.
