Robin was born and raised in Kansas City, MO and enjoyed an early singing career and also worked at local radio station, WHB. She was the secretary for State Senator Wilkerson at Shryrock Realty. She met the love of her life, Joe, and enjoyed traveling with him for several years before settling down and starting her family. Robin was the consummate homemaker and was always happy taking care of her family. Always one of the first to try the latest fad, Robin's hobbies were many – painting, decoupage, macramé, crocheting, and even belly dancing. Robin was the ultimate bookworm and was happiest staying up until the wee hours immersed in the latest novel. She would read a book a day and took great delight in collecting a vast library of her favorites.
Survivors include her children Frank (Nancy) Salerno, Rosemary Salerno (Dudley Wade), grandchildren Sara and Katie Salerno, brother and sister-in-law Art and Marianne Davis, sister Louise Davis, nephews Art (Hope) and David Davis, Bill, Paul (Martha) and Donald Claybaugh, Greg (Diana) and Mike (Mary) Salerno and niece Kathy (Mike) Finazzo; great-nephews Miles Davis, Michael and Alex Finazzo and Connor Salerno and great-nieces Elizabeth Salerno and Magen Finazzo.
