Rosalie M. Pisciotta, born on January 25, 1935, in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, with her loving family by her side.

Rosalie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived a life rooted in faith, family and friendship. She graduated from Northeast High School in 1953. Following her graduation, she worked as a secretary at a law firm, where she excelled in shorthand and typing. In 1955, Rosalie married the love of her life, Joseph Pisciotta, Sr. They enjoyed nearly 63 years of marriage together. Her dedication to her family and her unwavering faith were the cornerstones of her life.

Rosalie was blessed with five children. When she faced the hardship of losing her son, Joe Jr., she showed immense strength and grace, taking full custody of his two daughters and raising them as her own. Her faith in God gave her the courage to live life happily despite the adversities she endured. It was the Lord Himself who did the heavy lifting.

Rosalie loved to cook and bake Italian cookies. Every Sunday, there were family dinners and many other celebrations in her home. She and Joe enjoyed annual family trips to Branson, Missouri. She also cherished monthly luncheons with her special group of friends, affectionately known as the "Fab Five".

She was a devoted Catholic and a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She loved reading the Bible, had a deep devotion to the Holy Family, and regularly prayed the Rosary. Additionally, until Rosalie became homebound, she was involved with the American Daughters of Columbus, the Saint Charles Friendly Club, and the Camporeale Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Lena Mazzeffe; husband, Joseph Pisciotta, Sr. ; son, Joseph Pisciotta, Jr.; and brother, Joseph Mazzeffe. She is survived by her children Frank Pisciotta, Sam Pisciotta, John Pisciotta, and Rosalind Boehm (Jonathan); grandchildren: Klara Pisciotta, Rosemarie Doctor (James), Lauren Wheeler (Chris), and Josh Boehm (Alladson); great-grandchildren: Rai, Tray, Jimmy, Sophia, Ava, Lydia and Hudson; sister-in-law Sylvia Mazzeffe; along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including her best friends, Marie Messina and Jeanne DiMartino. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors and nurses at NKC Health Hospital and NorthCare Hospice House who cared for Rosalie.

Services will be held on Monday, June 1, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. The Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. followed by Visitation at 10:00 a.m. and the Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to St. Charles Borromeo Parish.
