Rosanna
Scaglia
Jan 30, 1959 — Nov 24, 2025
Rosanna passed into heavenly eternity on November 24, 2025.
Rosanna was born January 30, 1959, to Andrew and Anna Inzerillo in Kansas City, Missouri. The fourth of six children, she was raised in the historic northeast area of Kansas City. She learned the values of generosity and hospitality at a young age, as she watched her loving parents open their home to others regularly, especially for Sunday dinners.
Rosanna succeeded at every professional endeavor, thanks to her determination and her eternal positivity. Upon dual graduation from Northeast High School and a beauticians academy, she entered the workforce as a hairdresser. Her career path included many exciting adventures, including owning and operating a restaurant as well as teaching preschool (two of her most prominent callings). After leaving the education profession, Rosanna held esteemed positions in recruiting, Human Resources, and eventually in hospital administration.
Rosanna's favorite job titles were "Mom" and "Nana." She married Philip Scaglia and had two children, Joseph and Marianna. Their family enjoyed frequent trips to the southwest as well as hosting large family gatherings for holidays and other events. Though they divorced, Rosanna and Phil remained close friends. Since her first grandchild's birth in 2019, Rosanna has poured out her love, affection, and patience on her grandbabies. Rosanna was an incredible woman, mother, and Nana; she selflessly prioritized the needs and desires of her family, she demonstrated profound grace and patience, and she loved fiercely.
In 2024, Rosanna elected to retire early in order to become a full-time caretaker for her father. She cherished the time she had with him for the last year of his long life. After his passing in February 2025, Rosanna began her own battle with pancreatic cancer. A woman defined by her faith, Rosanna's trust in God never wavered. She fought valiantly against the horrific disease, and she did so with grace and dignity. Even in the face of insurmountable adversity, Rosanna consistently exuded love, grace, kindness, positivity, and compassion. Her bright sense of humor persisted. Rosanna made profound impacts on all those blessed to be around her. Her legacy will continue forever.
She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Anna Inzerillo; by her son Joseph Scaglia; and by her brothers Benny Inzerillo and Louis Inzerillo. She leaves behind her daughter Marianna Finley; son-in-law Scott Finley; and grandchildren Adrianna Rose, Jon Michael, and Giovanna Iris. She also leaves behind her loving sister and recent caregiver JoMarie Sample (Lee); brother Andy Inzerillo; sister-in-law Sylvia Inzerillo; daughter-in-law Courtney Scaglia; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A celebration will be held at a later date to honor Rosanna's exceptional life.
