Rosario "Ross" Piraino, 60, passed away September 6, 2020, at home surrounded by his loving family. A Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday, September 14, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Due to the pandemic, masks and social distancing are required.
Ross was born September 1, 1960, in Kansas City, MO, and was a 1979 graduate of Northeast High School. He had a quick wit and enjoyed staying busy and working with his various businesses as well has being a grocery store enthusiast. Above all, Ross loved and lived for his family. They were his main focus in life. He enjoyed hunting with his sons and dad and shopping trips with his daughters. He has left a hole in our heart and our family who will greatly miss him.
Ross was preceded in death by his mother, Rosaria Fertitta Piraino; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl and Beatrice LaSala; brother-in-law, Daniel Koehler; and nephew Carl LaSala. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kathy LaSala Piraino; his children Sophia, Beatrice, Carl, and Vincent (Elizabeth) Piraino; his grandson, Rosario Piraino; father, Vincent Piraino; sister, Josephine Koehler; brother-in-law, Sam (Lily) LaSala; nieces, Sara, Christina, and Laura Koehler, Carla LaSala; nephew, Leo LaSala; and extended family.
The family offers special thanks to Dr. James Garnett for his many years of exceptional care, and to Kansas City Hospice.
