Rose (DeLuna) Siraguso, 80, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday, September 30, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 1, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Rose was born March 3, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY to Vincent and Dora (Variano) DeLuna. She came to Kansas City at the age of nine months and settled in the Columbus Park "North End" area where she lived most of her life. She owned and operated Chico's Market with her husband, Ralph, from 1963 until 1992. Rose was the matriarch of her family. She devoted her life to her husband Ralph of 56 years, her children and grandchildren. She cherished her parents, sister and brothers. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and many looked to her for counsel, advice, and an open mind. She provided a home to many animals throughout her life and enjoyed diverse hobbies such as ceramics, flower arranging, astrology, and cake decorating.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph "Chico" Siraguso, in 2009; her brothers and sister-in-law, Jamsey and Virginia Mammolito, Carl DeLuna; and her brothers-in-law, Tony Civella and Carl Siraguso.

Survivors include her children, Maria LaBruzzo and husband Nick, Frank Siraguso and wife Tammy, Delores Buffa and husband Scott, Vincent Siraguso and wife Carol Jo; grandchildren, Vito and Michelle LaBruzzo, Nick Ralph LaBruzzo, Ralph C. Siraguso, Frankie Paul Siraguso, Roselynn and Nick Zicarelli, Andrew Buffa, Scott Buffa Jr., Carlo Siraguso, Giuliana Siraguso, Vincia Siraguso; great-grandchildren, Nick LaBruzzo and Giada LaBruzzo; sister, Molly Civella; brother and sisters-in-law, Frank and Sylvia DeLuna, Sandra DeLuna; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Rose's grandsons.

The family offers a special thank you to Dr. Thomas LaBruzzo, Dr. James Walden, and the nursing staff at North Kansas City Hospital for the care given to Rose.
