Rose L. Sirna, 83, Kansas City, MO, left this world but not our hearts on February 14, 2014. Visitation will begin with the Rosary at 4 p.m. and continue until 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E. Missouri Avenue, Kansas City, MO, 64106. Visitation will also be 9 to 9:45 a.m. Monday, February 17, at Holy Rosary Church, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts made in Rose's memory to Crossroads Hospice or Holy Rosary Church.

Rose was born May 7, 1930, in Leavenworth, KS. On July 20, 1948, she married the love of her life, Jerry J. Sirna, Sr. Together they raised four children. Rose was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and their Choir of Angels, where she proclaimed, "Don't worry, when the lights go on we're all showbiz!" She was a member of MO-KAN Chapter of the 42 ^nd Rainbow Division Veterans Foundation. Rose worked for Sprint and after retiring spent many years being "Nani" to the children at D & D Small World Montessori.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in law, Jerry J. and Geraldine Sirna; daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Tom DiSalvo, Marcy and J.C. Denny; son, Joseph P. Sirna; granddaughter, Amy Lynn Denny-Boxwell and husband, Brian; grandsons (and wives), Tommy and Rachel DiSalvo, Jerry J. Sirna, III, Jake and Lauren Denny, John Frank and Kara DiSalvo, Nicholas J. and Angela Denny, Ross Anthony and Caroline DiSalvo, Phillip Denny, Christopher Sirna, Patrick L. Sirna; great-grandchildren, Carissa Alford, Ava and Nicholas Denny, Isabella and Sophia Denny, Gianna DiSalvo; brother and sister-in-law, Junior and Evelyn Poe; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Clara Warnock, Pete Sirna, Rita and George Distefano; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Rose's pallbearers will be her nine grandsons and one great-grandson.

If success is measured by the way you live your life and the positive impact you make on others, then she was an extremely successful woman. We are grateful for the time we had with her and are better for having known her.
