Rosemary Ann Evola, 78, loving and devoted great-grandmother, grandmother, mother, wife, and friend passed away with peace and grace at home in Mission, Kansas with loved ones by her side on October 20, 2023.
Born to Rose Calderone Garcia Allen on April 21, 1945. Rosemary grew up in Kansas City, Missouri where she attended Glennon High School. After being a stay-at-home mother, she found work at E.F.D., Payless Cashways, and finally retired from Maersk. Rosemary was the beloved mother of Joseph Evola (Kelly Ann Evola), Carrie Evola, Vincent Evola, Rosemary Evola (Antonio Padilla), and daughter-in-law, Kim Evola. She was the proud grandmother of Vinnie Evola, Jeremy Greathouse, Savannah Lange, Chase Holtzman, Joseph Evola, Sophia Evola, and Michael Evola and the proud great- grandmother of Frankie Evola, Nicholas Evola, Vanity Evola, Gunner Lange, Wyatt and Bennett Gray, and Colton Gray. She is also survived by her loving companion, Charles Sellaro. She was preceded in death by her mother, father of her children and former husband, Vincent Evola, grandson, Nicholas Evola, and daughter-in-law, Kelly Michelle (Greathouse) Evola.
Rosemary lived a full life in her roles as great- grandmother, grandmother, mother, wife, and friend. She really enjoyed cooking big Italian dinners and celebrating the holidays with her family. She loved listening to music and dancing, shopping, she loved watching K.C. Chiefs football games, and she loved watching old cowboy movies. Most of all she loved being with family. She will forever be known as "Nani" to all of her favorite people. She will be clearly missed and forever in our hearts.
A celebration of Rosemary's life will be held on Friday, October 27 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the Rosary at 11:00 a.m., and Funeral Mass at 12:30p.m. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Afterwards, a luncheon at St. Charles Church will be catered by Smokehouse Barbecue. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations in care of the Funeral Home or Joseph Evola.
