Roy G. Skinner, age 71, passed away on March 23, 2018, after a lengthy battle with cancer.  He was born on December 1, 1946, to Rollie Skinner and Aline Miller.  Roy is survived by his wife, Frances (Vargas) Skinner; daughter, Michelle Leggio (Joe Mike); son, Mark Skinner; brother, Jerry Skinner (Janell); sisters, Judy Canada, Joanie Lusby (Bob); sister-in-law Stella Skinner; brothers-in-law, Paul Vargas, John Vargas (Dorothy), Randy Vargas (Karen), and Kenny Vargas.  Roy was a beloved Grandfather to Joseph and Marissa Leggio and Ava Skinner, and uncle to many nieces and nephews.  Roy was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Rollie Skinner; and granddaughter, Nikki Lynn Leggio.

Roy served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968 during the Vietnam conflict. He retired from Argosy casino in 2006. Roy enjoyed riding motorcycles and collecting cars.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew his unique sense of humor.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. with a Memorial Service beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
