Sallie Warren Kirk Dorsey, 75, passed away December 14, 2019.

Sallie was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, on July 31, 1944.  She grew up a "tom boy" on the Kirk farm in Plattsburg, Missouri. Sallie was the regional administrator of Home Life Insurance before she retired. She was a pilot (single engine land). A member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, which prepared her for a journey around the world on a 41-foot sailboat, she ended up in Puerto Vallarta where she lived for 24 years with her husband Tom.  They made a beautiful life, with many friends who loved and cared for them.

Sallie was the beloved daughter of William George and Helen Ijams Kirk, who preceded her in death along with her brother, William Bland Kirk, and sister-in-law, Carolyn Spencer Kirk.  She is survived by her husband, Thomas Dennis Dorsey of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico;  three children, Julie Ijams Risalvato (Phillip) of Blue Springs, MO,  James Kirk McFadden (Sarah) of Atchison, KS, and  Robert Taylor McFadden of Bucerias, Mexico; grandchildren, Brady Risalvato, Patrick Risalvato, Phillip Risalvato, Jr., Vincent Risalvato, Christopher McFadden, Demetria McFadden, and Angelique McFadden; two great-grandchildren, Mikah and Liam; sister, Alice Kirk Craven (John); cousin, Kirk Polson (Roberta); niece, nephews, and many, many wonderful friends.

A Celebration of her life will be held in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at a later date.
