Salvador Rascon "Pop" Torres, 90, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away January 6, 2023, at his home from prostate cancer.  Services will be held on Friday, January 13, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.  Cremation will follow the services. Memorial contributions can be made to Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care.

Mr. Torres was born on November 9, 1932, in Casas Grande, Chihuahua, Mexico. Along with his wife,  he owned and operated Torres Mexican Imports for over 30 years before retiring.

Mr. Torres was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and one brother. He is survived by his wife Evangelina "Eva" Torres of the home; sister Cruz Torres of Texas; brother-in-law David Quezada III of California; his six children Salvador Torres Jr. (Virginia), Alice Donnelly (Bobby), Tony DeBiaso (Silvia), Sylvia Torres-Greene (Mike), Alex Torres (Santina), Manuel Torres (Jennifer); his grandchildren Salvador Torres III, Angelica Kapileo, Andriana Torres, Vincent Donnelly, Dr. David Donnelly, Bianca Donnelly, Antonia DeBiaso, William DeBiaso, Jake Greene, Michael Maenza-Torres, Eva Torres, Grace Torres, Alexsandra Torres, Aviana Padilla, Manny Torres, Sofia Torres; his great-grandchildren Cheyenne, Salvador IV, Roman, Amelia, Antonya, Theodore, Alena, Celso, Virginia, Viviana, Isabella, Grace; his great-great-grandchildren Joseph and Eris; and his beloved cats Chapo and Lucky, who were like his kids.
