Salvatore Vincent Arnone, 81, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014. Visitation will begin with the Rosary at 4 p.m. and continue until 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1357 NE 42nd Terr., Kansas City, MO 64116. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with burial following in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Please omit flowers.

Sal was born December 26, 1932, in Kansas City, MO, to Joseph and Bessie (Ferina) Arnone. He was a 1958 graduate of Finley Engineering College, and worked at Burgess, Latimer & Miller before retiring from Broadway Electrical. He was a member and past-president of UNICO for 51 years, and served on the board of directors for the Don Bosco Center for 25 years. Sal was very active at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and the Education Tuition Assistance Program for the benefit of Catholic Schools. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and had the honor of designing the Kennedy Monument at The Concourse. Following retirement he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and friends.

Sal was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Frank V. Arnone; and his brother, Joseph M. Arnone. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Florine N. (Ferrantelle) Arnone; his children and their spouses, Elizabeth A. and Anthony J. Mirabile, Joseph G. and Kimberly A. Arnone, Tina M. and Donald V. Costanzo; grandchildren, Jasper A. Mirabile, Sarah E. Mirabile, Salvatore C. Arnone, Jennifer M. Arnone, Dominic A. Costanzo, Kara M. Costanzo, Sarina J. Costanzo; brother, Jack R. Arnone; sister-in-law, Debbie Arnone; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph and Josephine Ferrantelle; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
