Salvatore "Sal" Cascone, 81, passed away Monday, December 1, 2014. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, December 4, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, December 5, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Mausoleum, Kansas City North.

Sal was born October 21, 1933, in Kansas City, MO. He worked for many years in building maintenance, and loved to work around his home, help his wife Sara with cooking and gardening, and watch classic movies.

Sal was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Rosaria "Sara" (Donze) Cascone; his parents, John and Gena (Sola) Cascone; and brothers, Anthony and George Cascone. He is survived by his children, Gina Cascone, Phyllis Billings and husband Ken, John Cascone and wife Emilia, Maria Cappo and husband Anthony; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, John Cascone, Joe Cascone, Paul Cascone; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sandra and Anthony Caravella, Frank DiMaggio, Paul Donze, Enzo and Franca Donze, Matilda Donze; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
