Samantha V. Leone, 32, Kansas City, MO, passed away May 31, 2020, surrounded by her family.

Samantha was born August 3, 1987 in Kansas City, MO, to Stefano and Giuseppina Leone.  She was a graduate of Winnetonka High School.  Samantha will always be remembered for her sweet smile and her gentle way of embracing those who loved her.  To many, she will always be remembered as our little "farfalle", or butterfly. Samantha stoically faced many health struggles in her short life.  Her kidney disease and dialysis treatments prevented her from achieving many of her dreams and enjoying a full life that others often take for granted.  No matter the struggle, Samantha never complained or felt sorry for herself.  She continued to be a caretaker for her family and served as an example to us all.  She continued to smile.

Samantha was preceded in death by her mother, Giuseppina Leone; her grandparents, Frank and Vita Leone; and her uncle Daniele Leone.  She is survived by her father, Stefano Leone; her brothers, Daniel and Micah Leone; and many loving friends and family.
