Samuel "Sam" Cavallaro, 66, Kansas City MO passed away October 16, 2013. Memorial Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124.

Sam would wake up every day, go out to get the paper and a cup of coffee, and hang out with his friend Henry. He would then come home and visit with the neighbors before starting his daily phone calls to his family. We all knew to expect a phone call from him daily! He lived for taco Tuesday, good meatballs - he loved Teresa Pisciotta's meatballs - and had a sweet tooth for pie and brownies! When the weekend came he would go to work at Sosa's on 39th as the host, where he would put his charming personality to use! He was never a man short of words. He always had an opinion and loved to express it. He loved getting together with his children and grandchildren, enjoying a meal and celebrating birthdays and holidays. Sam loved so many and would do anything for anyone. He would tell his children all the time how blessed they were to have so many great friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Angelo and Louise Cavallaro; and his brother, Tomas Cavallaro. Survivors include step-mother, Imogene Cavallaro; his former wife and best friend, Christina Cavallaro; daughters and sons-in-law, Antonia and Dain Apple, Felicia and John Pisciotta; son, Samuel Angelo Cavallaro Jr.; daughters, Jasmine Barnes and Awanda Grate; his grandchildren whom he loved more than life: Sam, Frankie and Johnny Jr. Pisciotta, Sophia Key, Henry, Kayden, and Landon Apple, Aria Cavallaro, Kindle Barnes, Hayden Grate, Peyton Freeman; his brothers and sister-in-law, Carl and Dianne Cavallaro, Johnny George Cavallaro; aunts, Anna J. Ferrara and Antoinette Mangiaracina; along with several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews .

Sam was an unbelievable father who loved and lived for his children. Sam "Blue Eyes" never knew a stranger. He touched so many lives and will forever be remembered as an amazing father, great friend and loving person.
