Sandra Marie Liotta, 57, Northeast Kansas City, MO, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 22, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 23, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E. Missouri Ave., Kansas City, MO 64106. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum, Kansas City North.

Sandra was born July 20, 1958, in Camporeale, Sicily, and came to the United States with her family at age 8. She became a U.S. citizen at age 18, and was a graduate of Northeast High School. On January 9, 1982, she married Antonino Liotta and together they built their life in a true partnership. Sandra worked for the local election board and at University Hospital for many years, but mostly worked hand in hand with her husband managing their various properties. She enjoyed returning to Italy for annual trips. Sandra was passionate about life whether cooking, baking, entertaining guests or dancing at family celebrations. She was a selfless caregiver who worked to instill her values and example into her children and especially her grandchildren who were the light of her life.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Salvatore and Vita Donze; her brother, Angelo Donze; and her father-in-law, Raimondo Liotta. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Antonino Liotta; her children, Raimondo Liotta (Sammi), Lilla Adkins (Jerry Lee Jr.); her grandchildren, Brilynn, Santina, Kinsley, and one on the way; mother-in-law, Calogera Giametta; brother-in-law, Luigi Liotta (Ignazina Bevinetto) of Italy; two siblings; and many family, friends and neighbors.
