Sara Lee Pittala, 79, passed away October 17, 2018. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO. Inurnment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Kansas City Hospice , 1500 Meadow Lake Parkway, #200, Kansas City, MO 64114.

Sara was born on July 8 ^th , 1939, in Kansas City, MO, to the late Rosario and Frances (Saia) Lipari. She grew up attending St. John the Baptist grade school and Cardinal Glennon High School. In June of 1954, Sara met the love of her life, Carl Pittala, and they were married seven years later on May 13 ^th , 1961. They were married 52 years before Carl passed in 2013.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents; her aunt, Margaret Saia; uncles, Joseph Saia and wife Antoinette, Mike Saia and wife Dorothy, James Lipari; and aunt, Beatrice Belfonte and husband Mike. She is survived by her son, Anthony Pittala (Mary); grandsons, John and Matthew Pittala; sister, Frances Guastello (Mike); nephews, Fr. Michael Guastello and Joseph Guastello (Anna); sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Santa Galate (Vince), Josephine Humar (Mike), Frank Pittala (Kitty), Dr. Leonard Pittala (Katie); and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Sara will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
