Sharon Ann Mussurici, 82, passed away October 15, 2020. Visitation will be 10 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, at St. Therese Catholic Church, KCMO North. Entombment will follow at Mount Olivet Mausoleum.

Sharon was born August 15, 1938 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Raymond C. Dunn and Kathleen (Gebaur) Dunn. She was raised in the Catholic Church, attended Holy Cross Catholic School, and graduated from Glennon High School. At 17, she found her one true love, Vince Mussurici. They married and raised five children.  She was a loving homemaker and worked hard to create comfortable homes for her family, using her talent with a paint brush and wallpaper and making old objects useful again.  She enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, oil painting, animals and was a hobby breeder of Yorkshire Terriers.  She, Vince, and the kids spent every Sunday at his parents' home, having pasta dinner with family. Sharon had fun gambling with Vince at Harrah's Casino and later worked there as a coin exchanger/slot hostess.  She often worked at his automotive business, which she ran after unexpectedly losing him.

Vince was the love of Sharon's life.  Her children filled the empty void he left, helping her through many sad days and evenings.  She found joy in weekend outings, lunch, and shopping, hitting the road with family or friends to Odessa Outlets, Old Parkville, Legends (NFM) and Weston, MO. Upon retiring, Sharon liked to watch the golfers on the 9th hole from the deck of her Tiffany Springs home she shared with her daughter and her dogs.

Throughout her life, Sharon endured hardships and loss, but she was a resilient lady who yearned to live and embraced life.  Her fun-loving spirit and generous heart touched us all and she made everyone in her presence feel welcomed.  She was a person of faith, beautiful inside and out.  She was our sweet sunshine. Sharon was a devoted wife, loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.  Loved and missed beyond words, she will live on in our hearts and in those touched by her kindness.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Vincent J. Mussurici (Dec 1994) and granddaughter Jennifer Lynn Garcia (Feb 1985). She is survived by five children, Mary Keltner (Steve), Kathleen Mussurici (Nick Grevas), Stephanie Mussurici LaSala (Albert), Domenick Mussurici, Sharon Mussurici (Jr.); four grandchildren, Teresa Anna Branson (Lucas), Vincent Mussurici (Savannah), Domenick C. Mussurici, Phillip Mussurici; one great-grandchild, Anthony Mussurici; her sister, Linda Manichia; brother Raymond C. Dunn, Jr., sister-in-law Virginia Beck; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
