Shirley JoAnn (Asby) Rosted, 62, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018, at home, after an unrelenting thirteen-year battle with Pick's disease. She was born to the late Billy and Mamie (Frey) Asby, April 30, 1956, in Kansas City. On October 18, 2002, in Liberty, MO, she married Bradric Rosted, who survives of the home. Shirley was compassionate and found purpose and great meaning as a CMA caring for adults with autism. She was also vibrant, fun-loving and full of smiles. She truly was our tiny dancer.

Additional survivors include her daughter, Vanessa Rudd, of Riverside, CA; son Anthony Rudd (Corbin), of Kearney, and stepson Joe Cogburn, of Kansas City. Shirley will also be fondly remembered by her three beautiful granddaughters, Payton, Kennedy, and Skylar; sisters Terry Asby-Shelton (Stephen), Patricia Armstrong (Steve), Revena Dawson (Grady), Brenda Asby, Christine Asby, and Mamie Kuhl (Kevin); five nephews, five nieces; and numerous extended family and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Jr.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Cremation will follow. Memorial donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice. Condolences may be offered at www.passantinobros.com
