Stephen J. Zicarelli, "Stevie Zig", 65 years old, passed away on May 10, 2023. He suffered for many years with multiple sclerosis and was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. Stevie was preceded in death by his beloved parents Sam and Esther (Giglione) Zicarelli.

Stevie graduated from Northeast High School and worked at the Union Pacific Railroad for many years until he was no longer physically able to work. He loved music, especially smooth jazz, and was an avid sportsman, playing basketball, softball, golf, and hunting. Stevie's personality, especially his ability to tell a joke, made all those around him smile.

Stevie is survived by his children Stephen V. Zicarelli, Alaina (David) Upton, and Jonathan Zicarelli; four granddaughters and one grandson; siblings Anthony (Joanne) Zicarelli, Carl Jude Zicarelli, Marialaena (Joel) DiCapo, and Anna Zicarelli; nephews and nieces Sam Zicarelli, Nick (Roselynn) Zicarelli, Samantha (Brad) VanFleet, Carl V. (Danielle) Zicarelli, Erika (Alex) Asseff, and Anthony, Jr. (Paige) Zicarelli; as well as nine great-nieces and nephews; and many dear cousins and friends. Stevie is also survived by his aunt and second mother Virginia Sue Santillan.

Stevie was one of a kind. He will be greatly missed.

Services will be held on Thursday, May 18, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
