Morgan
Jun 14, 1954 — Jun 15, 2026
Steven "Steve" Allen Morgan, 72, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully at Northcare Hospice House on June 15, 2026. He was a loving father, a proud grandfather, a beloved brother, and a cherished son whose presence will be deeply missed.
Born on June 14, 1954, in Raytown, Missouri, Steve was raised in his hometown and graduated from Raytown South High School before serving honorably in the United States Army. Following his military service, he began a distinguished 33‑year career in banking while residing in Florida, becoming a bank president at the remarkable age of 28. In the 1990s, he returned to Kansas City and continued his profession at Central Bank of Kansas City as Executive Vice President, a position he held for 22 years. On October 12, 2008, he was honored as Colombian of the Year by the American Sons of Columbus in recognition of his leadership, dedication, and meaningful contributions to the community.
He valued time spent with his "lunch bunch", and looked forward to their regular gatherings, filled with meaningful conversation, good food and shared camaraderie.
Steve considered his greatest accomplishment to be his daughter, Alexandria "Ali" Morgan, and his granddaughter, Zoe, becoming his greatest joy. They shared an extremely special bond.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robin and Maxine Morgan; his sister, Marilyn Jean Montibeller; and his beloved dog, Mimi.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Alexandria "Ali" Morgan and Alexander Dreisler; his granddaughters, Zoe Morgan Dreisler and Sofia Morgan Dreisler; his partner, Dawn Kallstrom; his sister Marcia Smith; and nieces and nephews.
The family extends its profound gratitude to all who offered support, care, and assistance to Steve throughout his final year.
