Obituary

Suzanne Helen Brown Gilligan Rebecchi, of Kansas City, MO and Christmas, Florida, passed into new life, surrounded by loved ones at home, on Sunday, September 8, 2024, a few days after celebrating her 74th birthday. She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Lockner, and her mother-in-law, Kaetana Vella. She is survived by Thomas John Rebecchi, her husband of 50 years, her children Karen Rose Rebecchi Harmon (Michael), David Ross Rebecchi, Thomas Michael Rebecchi (Rachel), and bonus daughter, Debbie Dwyer (Huffman). She also leaves behind grandchildren, Tyler Vella Rebecchi, Kayden Kaetana Stevenson, Isaac Jay Thomas Harmon, Zachary Michael Ross Harmon, and Kira Jo Rebecchi. Bonus grandchildren include Kelsey Harmon (Bryan Payne), Elijah Wilken, Landin Wilken, Gabriel Huffman, Lucas Huffman, and bonus great-grandchild Skyler Payne.

Suzanne was a strong Christian woman. She handled the last weeks of her life with grace and wisdom. She witnessed to anyone she came in contact with and spent time chatting with her grandchildren. She was very much "in control" and was still getting onto her husband, Tom, and daughter, Karen Rose, in her final hours, telling them to "Get a blanket if you're cold!" and "Give me a chance to respond!"

A Celebration of Life was held on Sunday, October 6, 2024 (Don't worry! Tom made sure the Chiefs didn't play that day!) at Eastgate Christian Church, 4010 South River Blvd, Independence, MO 64055. Visitation began at 1:00 pm with a service at 2:00 pm followed by additional visitation time ending at 5:00 pm.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Christmas, Florida on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Holly Hall at Christmas RV Park, 25525 E Colonial Drive, Christmas, Florida 32709.
