Tania Lynne Dodson, age 62 of Kansas City, MO Passed away on July 17, 2021 at North Kansas City Hospital

She was preceded in death by her Stepfather Frank Rooney and her Mother Joyce Rooney.

Tania Dodson was born in Topeka, Kansas and raised in Kansas City, MO by her mother Joyce (Gravely) Rooney.

Tania spent her life as a devoted wife, mother, and friend to many.

Tania loved her husband and best friend of 43 years.  Together they raised two children and built a wonderful family in Kansas City, MO.  She was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren whom she loved and adored beyond measure.  Being Nana brought her pure joy in life.

Tania has always had a love of animals. She owned her own pet store in Oklahoma, but it was her unwavering commitment to feline rescue that led her to passionately start Divapets Rescue fifteen years ago while working with Patio Enclosures after many years and went to work with the Greater Kansas City Humane Society in conjunction with starting Diva Pets Rescue. Her love and passion lead her to retire from the Greater Kansas City Humane Society about three years ago to focus more on her passion and to build Diva Pets.  She has tirelessly grown Diva Pets into a non-profit volunteer program that saves many cats and kittens across the Kansas City and Kansas Metro area.  Many have said that she was a great mentor, friend, and support for them in their life.  Tania will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Survivors include: Thomas "Tom" Dodson Husband, Victoria (John) and Olivia Gay, Chase, (Tiffany) Grayden and Payton Dodson

Visitation from 2:00 p.m – 5:00 p.m. at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home with Prayer Service and Rosary at 4:30pm.
