Terry M. Conroy, age 71, passed away on All Souls Day, November 2, 2021, at NKC Hospital surrounded by his beloved family. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Gabriel Archangel Catholic Church, 4737 N. Cleveland Ave, Kansas City, MO 64117. The Rosary will be prayed immediately following, with the Funeral Mass beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery, 2201 Cleveland, Kansas City, MO 64127. Terry was born on March 26,1950 to Ed and Jean Conroy. He was a lifelong resident of the Northeast area of Kansas City, MO. He attended Northeast High School where he began playing drums in a band with friends that he would keep throughout his entire life. After graduating, he joined the Air Force Reserves. In April 1973, he became a member of the Kansas City, MO Fire Department of which he served for 31 years and reached the rank of Captain. During his time on the Fire Department, he became an active member of the Fire Union IAFF Local 42 and eventually served in numerous executive positions including secretary treasurer and president. During this time, he successfully fought for better working conditions, better pay, and many more labor issues for his fellow brothers and sisters of Local 42. He would eventually be an active member for the next 48 years.

Following his retirement in 2004, Terry's passion became his family, mainly his granddaughters Angelina and Adriana. He was always the first one to arrive at any event they were involved in. He loved to watch them at school activities, gymnastics, softball, and volleyball. Terry was a family man first and could always be counted on by his son and daughter no matter the situation. Terry loved spending time at the lake fishing or just sitting on the dock with friends and family. Terry was a devoted husband to Sally and father to Jennifer and Michael. He will truly be missed by numerous friends and family.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Jean Conroy; his wife Sally; nephew Frankie G. Marsalla; grandmother Gina Gagliano; uncle and aunt Bob and Nellie Davis; uncle Frank Spina; and uncle and aunt Matthew and Marie Sola. Terry is survived by his daughter Jennifer; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Andrea Conroy; granddaughters Angelina and Adriana; brother Gary Conroy; sister Georgina Marsalla; nieces and nephews Christina Marsalla, Philip and Rosemarie Marsalla, Zachary Conroy, Kattleya Conroy; great-nieces and great-nephews Frankie T., Valentina, and Giovanna Marsalla; along with countless more friends and family.

Pallbearers are Philip Marsalla, Dominic Serrone, Pat Serrone, Robbie Davis, Steve Davis, and Tommy Davis.
