Thomas M. Brown Sr. 73, passed away September 17, 2025, at North Kansas City Hospital. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 6, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help / Redemptorist Catholic Church. Cremation will follow the services.

Thomas was born on December 3, 1951. He was raised on the West Side of Kansas City, Missouri. He was proud to wear the title of a true Westsider.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Rosalie Brown; and infant daughter Rosalie. He is survived by his wife JoAnn; four daughters and one son: Thomas M. Brown Jr., Anita M. Brown (Montana), Jaclyn M. Lunares (Ramiro), JoMarie L. Brown (Johnny), and Nicole D. Brown (Robert); 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters Anita J. Brown and Carol M. Brown Munoz; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tommy was a very loving, caring and generous brother, husband, father and grandfather. His grandchildren loved him dearly; he was their Pawpaw. He was very, very protective of his family. Tommy was a very avid sports fan. He loved playing sports in his youth. He excelled in baseball and basketball. He was voted all-star in both sports several times. Tommy loved watching the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs, Missouri Tigers, and Serena Williams playing tennis. Another of his favorite pastimes was listening to old school soul music.

Tommy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family.
