It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Thomas Joseph Cambiano, 55, of Kansas City, MO. Thomas was born on November 21, 1969, to Michael and Rozanna Cambiano and went to be with the Lord on January 15, 2025.

Thomas attended Oak Park High School and St. Pius X High School in Kansas City, MO, and soon after pursued career opportunities at General Motors and truck driving. Throughout his life he faced many challenges, particularly with addiction and serious health problems, but he met each challenge with resilience and determination. He was deeply committed to improving his health and bettering his life. Above all, he was a very proud and devoted Papa, finding great joy in his grandchildren.

Thomas was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish where he became involved in the men's group. Though his time there was relatively short, he found a strong sense of community and purpose through his faith.

He is survived by his loving parents Michael and Rozanna Cambiano; his daughter Lauren Shafer and husband Zach; his beloved grandchildren Brody, Halle, Kymberlee and Kyndrah; his sister Nina Dixon and husband TJ, their son Jake and wife Marissa and their son Archer; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A service to celebrate Thomas' life will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on Tuesday January 28, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Mass immediately following at 11:00 a.m., and a luncheon from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
