Thomas Alexander Laroque went home to be with the Lord on April 16, 2025. A celebration of his life will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 603 N. Jennings Road, Independence, MO 64056. Interment will be at a later date.

Thomas was born at Newman Regional Health in Emporia, Kansas on August 11, 2004, to parents Amanda Dyches and Thomas D. LaRoque Jr. When Thomas was three his family moved to his father's hometown of Independence, Missouri where Thomas continued to live until God called him home at the tender age of just 20 years. As a child Thomas was a shy but very loving boy.  He had a heart of gold and was always ready to help others.  Even in his passing he continued to help others live by donating the gift of life to three people through his organ donation. In his years of youth he loved to ride bikes and skateboard. He met Alli Quinn who blessed him with his one true love and daughter, Winter Ann Rose LaRoque.

Thomas was an amazing young man.  He loved his family very much, especially his brothers and his four-year-old daughter. He was always their protector. He was a wonderful son, brother, father, and grandson.

Thomas was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Tom and Jackie LaRoque.  His survivors include his mother Amanda Dyches, maternal grandmother Kathy Dyches, father Thomas D. LaRoque Jr., brothers Tyler and Jackson LaRoque, daughter Winter LaRoque, nephew Damian Shepard-LaRoque, uncle Delano LaRoque, and cousin Kaley Kahn.
