Tom was born on June 9, 1942, to Angelo G. and Ann (Gallo) Sorrentino. Tom met and married Mary Helen Mendoza in 1966. They shared a very unique and loving journey during 53 years of marriage. Together they had three children: Anna Marie, Bobby Joe, and Angela Suzanne. Tom was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin who truly loved and enjoyed being with family and friends.
Tom was the true definition of an entrepreneur and a man of his word, where a handshake was a binding agreement. He found success whether it be car sales, produce, horses or other small businesses. He enjoyed many fishing trips around the country and Canada with his close friends. He enjoyed the boat and you could find him at the nearest slot machine. Tom was fun, charming, quick-witted, and brought joy and calm with his intuitive wisdom. He brought many laughs and joy to everyone around him. His simple presence could light up a room. Tom's most successful life work was being an active and involved Popo. His legacy will live on through each of his grandchildren.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife, parents, grandson Leo Sorrentino, brothers Angelo "Jr." Sorrentino and Michael Sorrentino, sister Margaret Springer, father-in-law Bob Mendoza, and nephew Michael Bowen.
Tom is survived by his children Anna DeLisio (George), Bobby Joe Sorrentino (Kelly), and Angela Cindrich (John); his grandchildren Alaina DeLisio, Alexis Christifano (Nick), George DeLisio IV (Miranda), Tommy Sorrentino II (Lexi), Vinny DeLisio, Patricia Allen (Devin), Marianne and Michael Cindrich; great-grandchildren Joanna Hinrichs, Angelo, Charlie and Maria Christifano, George V and Gianna Delisio; and daughter-in-law Giovanna. May God have mercy on us all.
Pleasant places were measured out for me; fair to me indeed is my inheritance. (Psalm 16:6)
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil: for you are with me: your rod and your staff- they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4)
