It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Tony Enrico Montoya's passing on February 22, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri. Born on September 27, 1956, in Kansas City, Missouri, Tony dedicated his life to service as a retired firefighter captain and a United States Marine Veteran.

In his leisure time, Tony found joy in riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, writing books, and observing his birds that flocked to his feeders, at what he called a buffet. He had a gift for humor, a love for jazz music, and a way of making every woman feel beautiful with his kind words.

Tony's smile was his greatest gift, and his mission in life was to bring more light and laughter to the world. He undoubtedly accomplished this, and now carries that light with him into the next life, leaving an enduring mark on all who knew him.

Tony is survived by his son, Eric E. Montoya, his daughter Antoinette M. Montoya, two grandchildren, Chloe and Mason Montoya, daughter-in-law, Kasey Montoya, brothers Rick Montoya and Steve Montoya, sisters, Juanita Gordon and Sandra Leftridge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A. Montoya and his brother, John Montoya.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
