It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Trudy Infranca (Mary Gertrude Rabeler), a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who passed away on December 30th, 2024.

Born March 10th, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Ted and Thelma Rabeler.

She attended St. Theresa's Academy. In 1956, she met her forever love, Joseph Infranca, and they married in 1957. They went on to have five children. Mary, Phillip, Christina, Ted and Joe.  She poured so much love into her family, raising her amazing kids who went on to bless her with 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Trudy spent much of her life serving others.  In her youth, she helped her dad by working in the diners he owned in the railroad yards in the east bottoms of Kansas City. She also worked as a waitress at Jenny's Restaurant, Anthony's Restaurant and Lounge and The Hereford House. A job she excelled at, always having regulars who looked forward to sitting in her section.

Trudy also excelled in the kitchen. She was a great cook who took much pride in her Lebanese heritage, cooking traditional Lebanese food like stuffed grape leaves, hashew, and kibbeh for her family.

She loved slot machines, scratcher tickets, playing cards, reading books, and her Salem menthols, but most of all, she loved and took most pride in her family. Who are especially lucky that her grandchildren and great-grandchildren could spend time and make memories with their Nana Trudy.  Nothing made her happier than seeing her family together, they already miss her so much.

Trudy is preceded in death by her husband Joe, her parents Ted and Thelma.

She is survived by her five children Mary (Sig), Phil (Diana), Ted, Chris (Gayle), and Joe (Jacque), eleven grandchildren Natasha (Aaron), Sean (Kristina), Devin, Jordan, Colby, Michael (Paige), JoMarie, Jake (Kaitlyn) , MariNicole (Clayton), Carl, and Antonina; nine great grandchild with one on the way, Brother John (Karen) Cousin Mike Sharbel who she loved like a brother,  and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Those who knew her will remember her beautiful eyes, captivating smile, giving spirit, and kind nature. It gives us peace to know that she will be reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her. Especially her mother, who she lost over 70 years ago, and her husband, Joe, who she last embraced 32 years ago.

To our matriarch, who showed us strength, resilience, kindness, and so much love, we will carry you in our hearts forever. We are eternally thankful for being shown that the most important thing in life is to simply love each other.

Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, at Mount Olivet Cemetery. ln lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to Children's Mercy Hospital.
