It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that we announce the passing of Victor Carl Caruso on May 12, 2023. He was 90. He now joins his wife and parents in Heaven.

Services will be held Friday, May 19th, at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church located at 130 NW Murray Rd, Lee's Summit, MO 64081. Visitation will begin at 9:15 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow immediately at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery located at 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64138.

Victor was born on April 17, 1933, in Kansas City, MO, and was an accomplished baseball player and pitcher in his youth. He graduated from Manual High School and attended De La Salle High School as well. Victor met the love of his life, Marie, and they were married on May 15, 1957. Together they raised three children. Victor worked for himself as a painting contractor for over 40 years. Victor had a passion for sports, coaching and competition. He worked at Don Bosco for many years coaching kids in various sports. He loved playing many sports throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Victor was preceded in death by his wife Marie ; his mother and father Clara and Victor Caruso; and sister Angie Wheeler. He is survived by his sisters Joann Jones and Lucille Pickett Zamarripa (Eric); his children Alex Caruso, Anthony Caruso, and Victoria Thompson (Cory); and his grandchildren Christina Caruso, Sophia and Adam Newmaster, Alana and Ben McMullin, Cassandra Caruso, Madison Caruso, Dominic Caruso, and Cayden Thompson.

Pallbearers: Chuck Campobasso, Frank Migliazzo, Cory Thompson, Anthony Caruso and Alex Caruso.

Honorary Pallbearers: Cayden Thompson, Dominic Caruso, Ben McMullin and Adam Newmaster.
