Victor Vogliardo, OFS, 89, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013, at his son's home surrounded by his loving family.

Vic was born on November 19, 1923, to John and Anna (Catalano) Vogliardo in Kansas City, MO. He attended Northeast High School and studied at the University of North Dakota as an Air Corps cadet. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a B-24 Armor Gunner Photographer in the 459th Bomb Group, 756th Squadron, flying on 34 combat missions during WWII, and was a member of Campo-Manfre-Barbieri Post 151 of the American Legion. He was co-owner of Broadway Liquors for 15 years, and later managed and retired from Roma Bakery. He served Meals on Wheels for 18 years, and was a member of the Secular Franciscan Order. Vic was married to the love of his life, Antoinette Filardo Vogliardo, for 61 wonderful years, and traveled extensively with her. He touched many people's lives with his beautiful smile and contagious laugh.

Vic was preceded in death by his daughter, Anna Vogliardo Pettyjohn; his parents; and his in-laws Joseph and Carmen Filardo. He is survived by his wife, Antoinette; daughter, Carmen Rogers; son, Joe Vogliardo (Susan); daughter, Vicki Vest (Steve); grandchildren, Kristi Pettyjohn Burkhart, JoAnna and Anthony Rogers, Jennifer, Katie and Andrew Vogliardo, Steve and Austen Vest; great-grandson, Jonathan; and brother, Joe Vogliardo.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5106 St. John Ave., Kansas City, MO 64123, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in Forest Hill Mausoleum.
