Virginia (Pernice) Andrews, 93, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday, December 13, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 14, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E. Missouri Ave., Kansas City, MO 64106, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery.

Virginia was born in San Benito, TX, on December 3, 1922, to Filippo and Herlinda Pernice, and was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was employed by Luce Luggage, Tension Envelope, and LaPetite Academy. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis Dunn Andrews; son, Louis T. Andrews; her brothers, Sam, Phil, Rudy, Tom, Manual, and Jessie Pernice; and sisters, Valentina Pernice, Rosie Pernice, and Linda Belgiere.

Survivors include her children, Phillip Andrews (Cheryl), Theresa Ferrante (Tom); daughter-in-law, Margarita; sisters, Beatrice LaSala and Clara Bruno; sisters-in-law, Rosetta Pernice, Marti Pernice, and Nancy Pernice; grandchildren, Lisa Albright (Troy), Phillip Andrews (Patty), Vincent Ferrante (Laura), Tommy Joe Ferrante, Michael Anthony Ferrante, Teresa Labador (Felix), Joseph, Louie, and David Andrews, and granddaughter Victoria. Also 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family is very thankful for the kind and considerate care by the staffs of Truman Medical Center – Lakewood Long Term Care and Heartland Hospice.
