Mary Virginia McCulley, 85, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 9, at Independence Boulevard Christian Church, 606 Gladstone Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Burial will follow in Mount Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Independence Boulevard Christian Church.
Virginia was born October 31, 1927, in Kansas City, MO to Ross and Mary Frances McCulley, and was a graduate of Northeast High School. She was a longtime, dedicated member of Independence Boulevard Christian Church. Virginia worked as a private secretary for a federal magistrate judge and, prior to that, worked for the Veterans Administration. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Herb and Mel McCulley.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Betty McCulley; her nieces and nephews, Stephanie and Tim McNutt, Sharon and Joe Baxter, Mike McCulley, Gary Freeman, Janann and Carl Jones, Janiece and Dennis Pangborn, Mark and Stephanie McCulley; and many great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
