Virginia M. (Nicolosi) Rutherford, 82, Independence, MO, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012. Visitation will be 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 10, at Passantino Bros. Virginia was born November 26, 1929 in Kansas City, MO to John and Anna (Cosentino) Nicolosi. She worked at TWA for 25 years and was owner of Texas Tom's Drive-In on 24 Hwy. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, William "Bill" Rutherford.

Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Carmeline and Tom Nigro; nephews and nieces, T.J. and Dana Nigro, Sally and Glen Soendker; and great-nieces and nephews, Tommy, Mario, and Noah Nigro, Ashley, Lindsey, Gabrielle, and Michael Soendker.
