Virginia M. Schembri, 84, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, December 17, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. Family and Friends will gather on Friday, December 18, at St. Andrews the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount St. Mary's Cemetery.

Virginia was born August 24, 1931, in Kansas City, MO, to Louis and Lucia (Mussurici) LaRosa. She was a loving mother and grandmother who lived her life for her family. Her faith was very important to her and she was a devout member of St. Andrew's Parish.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo S. Schembri, in 1988; and her sister, Bernice LaRosa. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Margaret and Ronald Schroeder, Sam and Catherine Schembri, Lucille and Tom LanFranca, Diana Wenzl; her grandchildren, Nick (Melissa), Adrienne (Larry), Marci, Angela, Sammy, Tommy (Adelaida), Pete (Arielle), Gina, and Andrea; her great-grandchildren, Adriana, Alivia, Kyli Jo, Mila, and Gio; and many loving cousins and loving friends.
