Vita Fucarino Umbertone, 85, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, September 20, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 21, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 309 Benton Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Mausoleum, Kansas City North.

Vita was born December 19, 1926 in Villafrati, Palermo, Sicily. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Mario and Lucy Umbertone, Salvatore and Ina Umbertone, Filippo and Gina Umbertone; daughter, Mary Bujak; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Filippo and Gina Fucarino; and sister and brother-in-law, Giuseppa and Giovanni Marte.

Vita was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by all.
