Vito was born June 25, 1934, in Castelvetrano, Sicily, to the late Gaspare and Rosa Bianco. Vito was a master carpenter and cabinetmaker known for his craft in both Sicily and his home in Kansas City, MO. Over the years, he worked & remodeled for many of his community members & neighbors and was well-respected for his integrity, perfectionism and passion in every project and cabinet he created.
From his home in Northeast Kansas City, he taught his children and grandchildren that family always comes first. His love for his family was selfless – no matter what anyone needed, he showed up and gave himself fully to family as a second nature, whether helping raise his grandchildren, supporting his children or lending a hand to a neighbor. One of his main goals in life that he worked towards everyday was to provide every opportunity for his children to have a better life than even he had. Even though he was separated from his homeland in Sicily, he never forgot his family back home and stayed in touch throughout his life with his beloved brothers, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Vito was preceded in his death by his wife, Caterina of 62 years, as well as his parents and several siblings both in Kansas City and Castelvetrano. He is survived by his daughter Rosa Bianco; daughter Anna Bianco; daughter Cathy and Louis Vittoria; son Jasper and Anna Marie Bianco; his grandchildren who he loved with his whole heart: Amanda (Herik) Delarosa, Jessica Lopez, Michael and Matthew Vittoria, Mikaela Moody (Jake), Vincent Hamilton (Brooke), Lauren Boyer (James), Vito and Michael Bianco; great-grandchildren, Erika and Herik Delarosa, Sophia Vittoria and Israel Vela; brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Rosa Guarino; sister-in-law Maria Leone; sister-in-law Vita Bianco in Italy and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Vito Bianco, Michael Bianco, Vincent Hamilton, Michael Vittoria, Matthew Vittoria, Herik Delarosa and Jake Moody.
