William Joseph Autrey, 65, of Raytown, MO, passed away January 14, 2015, at Truman Medical Center Lakewood from respiratory failure. Visitation will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 21, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where a Memorial Service will begin at 3 p.m.
Mr. Autrey was born May 28, 1949, at St. Joseph's Hospital, in Kansas City, MO. William grew up in the historic "North End" of Kansas City, MO. He was Christened and served as an altar boy at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He attended Northeast High School. He chose early retirement from the GM Fairfax plant in Kansas City, he also owned and operated a body shop in St. Petersburg, FL, and he also retired from Kenworth, of Kansas City, MO. He owned several motorcycles and loved to ride. He enjoyed playing pool, darts and bowling and he recorded several perfect games on the lanes. Most of all he loved his children and grandchildren dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother Loretta Josephine Autrey; a brother Carl Lee Autrey; and his life-mate, Judy. He is survived by his four daughters, Dawn Kellogg, Jody Autrey, Billie Jo Wolfe, and Dominique Autrey; two sisters, Barbara Welsh and Linda Hood; eight grandchildren, Amber Conley, Brandon Conley, Cody Wilson, Megan Gorham, Kyle Gorham, Benjamin Wolfe, Hope Wolfe and Logan Autrey; six great-grandchildren, Cayden Anders, Courtney Anders, Colton Anders, Cannon Anders, Riley Bryant and Marley Ross; two aunts, an uncle, and a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins.
