Obituary

William Jerry "Bill" Parrish, 70, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born and raised in the Northeast area of Kansas City, graduating from Northeast High School and attended Maple Woods Community College.  He married the love of his life, Rose Marie (Favoroso) Parrish, 47 years ago and they lived out their love story.  Bill served proudly in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. After the reserves, Bill went on to work as a customer service & sales representative for AT&T for 30 years. Bill was a 4th Degree Knight with the St. Anthony's Knights of Columbus and volunteered his time with the American Royal barbeque and gift shop.

Bill enjoyed spending countless hours with his loving family – especially his grandchildren and three dogs (Elli, Figs, & Gino). He spent his free time visiting the casino, fishing, and playing cards with his friends & family. Ultimately, Bill was a true people-person, a family man – a faithful, committed, and loving husband, a supportive, caring and nurturing father and grandfather, and always there for any family member or friend in need. Bill was an amazing role model. He brightened any room with his smile, a kind word, or compliment.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elizabeth (Lee Vigliaturo) Parrish; and his in-laws, Joseph and Anna (DePlasita) Favoroso.  He is survived by his loving wife, Rose Marie Parrish; and his children Joanna (Dustin) Crabb, Lisa (Ono) Parscale, and Bill (Jacque) Parrish; his adoring grandchildren Diono, Audriana, and Bianca Parscale, and Leona, Juliana, and Mya Parrish; and nine grandpups. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Bunny (Nick) Fiorello, Carol (John) Rinella, Linda (Fred) Bonadonna, and Rose Marie (Joe) Wurtz; as well as his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leo (Karla) Favoroso, Mamie (Anthony) Occhipinto, and Frank (Rosella) Favoroso; and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the incredible care Bill received over the last two weeks from North Care Hospice – the kindness, care, and love was very much appreciated.
